Flow State before, Reset after: how the camp stack works.

A fight camp has two problems: getting the most out of today and being able to train tomorrow. One tub each. How to run the pair, week by week, including fight week.

Flow State before, Reset after: how the camp stack works

Flow State and Reset are sold as a pair because a fight camp has two problems, not one. The first is getting the most out of today's session. The second is being able to train again tomorrow. One tub handles each. This is how the stack is meant to work and how to run it through a camp.

The short version
  • Flow State goes in 20 to 30 minutes before training. Reset goes in within the hour after, or before bed.
  • There is no overlap between the two formulas. Nothing clashes and nothing is doubled up.
  • Both are daily, rest days included, because creatine, beta-alanine, collagen and the botanicals all build over weeks.
  • In fight week, drop Flow State if you are cutting weight. Keep Reset.

Why two products instead of one?

Because the things you want before a session and the things you want after it are different, and some of them should not be in the same scoop. Beta-alanine and citrulline want to be in you before the work starts. Magnesium bisglycinate and tart cherry want to be in you when you are winding down. Putting both in one all-day powder would mean half the ingredients are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Before and after

Flow State, before

Creatine, beta-alanine and citrulline for the rounds. Tyrosine, theanine and alpha-GPC for calm focus. Sodium, potassium, magnesium and taurine for the sweat. Nothing that raises your heart rate.

Reset, after

Essential aminos for the muscle you just trained. Collagen and vitamin C for joints and tendons. Tart cherry, curcumin and ginger for soreness. Bromelain for bruising. Magnesium, zinc and vitamin D for sleep, muscle and immunity. No whey in it, so it stacks with yours.

How do you run the stack through a camp?

01
Weeks 8 to 2: build

Flow State before every session and on rest days. Reset after every session or before bed. Beta-alanine takes two to four weeks to load and creatine about the same, so the first fortnight is groundwork.

02
Weeks 2 to 1: peak

Everything is loaded. This is the stretch where the calm focus and the electrolytes earn their place: hardest sparring, biggest sweat, most sleep pressure.

03
Fight week

Cutting weight? Stop Flow State seven days out. Creatine holds one to two kilos of water and you do not want to fight the scale for it. Keep Reset going: the magnesium and cherry help you sleep through a cut.

04
After the weigh-in

Rehydrate first. Then a scoop of Flow State the morning of the fight, 20 to 30 minutes before the warm-up, brings the electrolytes and the focus back without any stimulant load.

Who should run both, and who only needs one?

You are Flow State Reset
In camp, training twice a day Yes Yes
Training three or four evenings a week Yes Yes, before bed
Lifting in the morning, no combat sport Yes Optional
Over thirty with sore joints Optional Yes
Cutting weight this week Pause Yes

Do Flow State and Reset clash with Natty or Organ X?

No. Natty and Organ X are capsule formulas taken with meals and neither contains anything in the Fight Series tubs. Plenty of customers run all four. The only thing to watch is total magnesium if you also take a separate magnesium supplement: Flow State and Reset together give 300mg, which is already most of the daily reference intake.

Rest days

Take both on rest days too. Flow State can go any time of day because there is nothing in it to keep you up. Reset goes before bed. Skipping rest days is the most common reason people say creatine and beta-alanine "did nothing".

Flow State before. Reset after. That is the whole camp.

Can I mix Flow State and Reset in one shaker?

You can, but you lose the point. The pre ingredients want to be in you before you train and the recovery ingredients after. Keep them separate.

Is there a saving for buying both?

Yes. The pair is priced below two single tubs on the product pages.

How long does a tub last?

Thirty scoops each. Taken daily, rest days included, that is a month per tub.
